Hey hi ! My name is Heena Parikh. And I am so happy that you are here. Thank You so much for visiting my Blog.
Professionally I am a Finanacial Analyst. I juggle and shuffle between many roles of a Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Friend. I am a Gujarati, brought up in Amchi Mumbai, Higher studies in Vadodara / Baroda, Married in Ahmedabad, moved to Navi Mumbai and travelled to a couple more places. I am passionate about what I like and love to do things which makes me happy. I Love to do Painting, Crafting, Pottery, Making my own jewelry, Photography, a collector of unique things - using and converting boring things to an upcycle craft which makes me a Creative DIY'er too. I Love travelling and have been to a couple of countries to fill by bucket list which includes UAE, UK, USA and of course India being an Indian and presently we are an awesome 3some team with me, my better half and my lil 1 'S' based in Chicago, IL - "The Windy City" as they call it.
I am a foodie, well we all are. It is with the food that we are alive. Isn't it?
Well, as far as cooking goes I hardly remember getting any formal training. Not to mention my Mom is an excellent cook, so are all the women in our family. I got my artistic side to see and do things from my Mom and some more skills I adopted from my Father as all Daughters do. I rarely used to cook when studying, I would sometimes help my Mom cleaning up or with some tasting of taste. After marriage was the time I actually dug myself out, crafted and skilled myself to cook delicious meals. Food has always been prime in our household and so is Kitchen and the Kitchen table. We share good food, everyday cheers, and loads of laughter and revive memories around our Kitchen. I have grown up seeing this and Love the humming and fragrant vibe that a Kitchen generates. I grew up watching my Mom cook and knew all the ingredient and process that goes into making a home cooked wholesome meal. But believe me, there are various ways of making a dish loved and relished with all the likes and dislikes of the family members or the ones to whom you are serving it. And after all it's the thumbs up from them that matters. As a novice, I too made mistakes and that's fine, You learn better from your mistakes .
As they say " PRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT " holds so true in every venture you want to succeed and excel.

Many of my favorite memories are woven around my Kitchen table and with the people I love, cooking and serving them home cooked delicious meals. Meals become more fun to cook when they are easy and quick to prepare, so even you can hang out with them to cherish these fun moments and be thankful for all the good stuff in our life thus this name Heena's Kitchen Diaries.
Food is treasure. Food is medicine. Food is health. It makes You. Some past forgotten recipes and some new. Some successful and some experimental. You like the Food that appeals to your taste buds. Some choose taste and some choose healthy. Well this planet and all of us revolve around Food. It is that what keeps us mindfull, healthy and going. Food is Life. Also, Kitchen is a HUB in the home for the one who cooks, mine is ... buzzing all the time with family, kids, and friends. All love food, kitchen has food, all ought to surround that fragrant kitchen right. Plus to many meals makes a day - breakfast, snack, lunch, tea time, dinner and more...
